The game opens with a colorful and immersive start page of Candy’s world. The typography on this page is custom-designed to reflect the bouncy, light-hearted nature of the game. Rounded, bubbly, and whimsical, each letter feels like it belongs in Candy’s lively world, inviting players into a journey that’s as cute as it is adventurous.

Game Background


Level One – A Town in Distress

This is where Candy’s adventure begins. The entire town has been infected, with blobs overtaken by the virus. To reflect the town's illness, the color palette leans toward purples and blues—cool, misty tones that create a sense of unease and emphasize the virus’s impact.

Level Two


Candy will went through different of town and city to rescue the effected blobs and defeat the virus.

Main Character




Candy, the main character, stands out with a orange hue, symbolizing his warmth, bravery, and good heart. His bright colors contrast with the dark tones of the town, representing hope and resilience in the face of adversity. The Candy’s character embodies his optimistic nature and determination to save his friends and his home.

Virus




While the virus is a serious threat, the game maintains a playful tone. The virus is designed to look both adorable and dangerous—a green, playful shape that hints at its infectious nature without being too scary, adding a fun twist to Candy's adventure.

Affected Blobs

The infected blobs are an integral part of the game’s story, representing the impact of the virus on Candy’s world.

As Candy heals them, they slowly return to their natural colors, symbolizing rebirth and resilience. Each healed blob brings Candy closer to restoring the town’s original vibrancy.

Healing Touch
One of Candy’s most important abilities, Healing Touch, enables him to save other blobs affected by the virus.

Teleportation

This ability lets him move quickly from one spot to another, an essential skill for navigating the virus-infested terrain and avoiding dangerous obstacles. 

Energy Ball

Candy’s journey is empowered by collecting energy balls, which give him the strength to fend off virus attacks.

The Essence of Growth



This legendary sunflower radiating a warm, golden-yellow glow with soft gradients surrounding it, symbolizing hope and healing.Finding the Essence of Growth is Candy’s ultimate goal, as it’s the key to saving his beloved wife and reviving their world from the darkness.

Final Level: The Essence of Growth


This mystical sunflower is the source of balance and life in Bloboria, offering a stark contrast to the virus-plagued town. The serene and nurturing energy of the Essence of Growth invites players to journey through its vibrant surroundings, a place where healing begins and hope is restored.

Reflection

Working on this game project has been an exciting and creative journey. It allowed me to explore various aspects of design, from developing the story and characters to refining the visuals and gameplay mechanics. I enjoyed creating a colorful, vibrant world that balances cuteness and adventure, while also conveying deeper themes of healing and hope. The process of designing Candy's character, the virus, and the different abilities was both challenging and rewarding, as I had to ensure they all fit cohesively into the game's narrative. Overall, this project helped me enhance my design skills and gave me a deeper appreciation for storytelling through interactive media.
